Welcome to my watchlist. This is a place where I’m writing down movies and television shows I would like to watch, or write short paragraph-reviews of ones which I have watched. I am not a critic, I do not know the third thing about what makes a piece of visual media good1. I am not particularly well-versed in the art of movie-going—I’m incredibly uncultured. And that’s part of why I started this page.
It’s fun to sit down and watch movies, I’ve not done it often in my life. The times I have sat down to watch movies haven’t been very thoughtful, and that’s another reason why I started this page. I think writing about what I just watched makes the act of viewing it a little more important in my life and gives it a bit more of an impact.

Movies
- The Babadook
- Lucy
- Venom Series
- Bullet Train
- LOTR Extended Trilogy
- Novocaine
- It’s not bad by any accounts, but it’s not great either. It’s good for what it is: which is a really fun action movie. I had a lot of fun watching it. It has a fun premise, and uses it pretty creatively at some points.
- Inside (2023)
- This movie had me fully invested, with great writing and imagery.
- Absolutely Anything
- This was a really fun movie. Not exquisite, but a fun comedy adventure. Characters with God-like powers is something I’ve toyed with a lot in my own writing, and a lot of this stories problems stood out to me as a little silly and easily solvable in the circumstances. Besides that, it was a good comedy movie, and the twist (which I wont spoil) was really fun and pulled off well.
- Hereditary
- This movie was great, but a little confusing. I ended up having to look up the meaning to get a complete picture. Definitely the kind of movie you’d have to watch multiple times to fully understand. It was still a very thrilling and fun-to-watch movie despite this.
- The Menu
- This movie was amazing, one of the best I’ve ever watched (Which isn’t to say much considering my current watch list.). I adored the message, and it being written by ex-Onion writers was made abundantly clear in some scenes. I especially loved the ending metaphor comparing S’mores to modern society.
- Three Thousand Years of Longing
- What a sweet movie. The trailers for this movie are particularly misleading. I went into it expecting some kind of trippy action movie, but I was instead delivered a sincere love letter to storytelling. It was a beautiful movie.
- Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children
- This wasn’t a bad movie, though it definitely wasn’t a good one either. The characters are fun, though at times the acting seems shallow. And the time travel mechanics left me with more questions than answers by the end of the movie. I originally watched this movie in 2016 when it first released, and it is definitely not quite how I remembered it being.
