The dream takes place in a superhero world that’s a mix between Marvel and The Boys. It starts with the dreamer and their grandmother at the old house. The grandmother is scared Homelander is after them. The dreamer reassures her—“why would he be after us?”—until they realize there’s a sniper outside in one of the trees. They try to hide, but it’s too late. Homelander is outside, riding a Kirin from Monster Hunter. The sniper is another superhero—a really good gunman dressed as a cowboy—also on a flying horse (a normal one).
The dreamer rushes outside, and the camera pans up to show the rooftop fight. The cowboy hero lassoes Homelander’s Kirin, which rears up and kicks him off. Homelander starts flying. Then another hero—working with the FBI—suddenly appears and crashlands straight into Homelander. The Kirin plays dead on the roof, but the gunman isn’t fooled—he yanks off its horn and shoots it. The dreamer and their grandmother escape. She never appears again.
The dream shifts to the dreamer being either Spiderman or a new superhero called the Blue Cat. Blue Cat has discovered classified info on Homelander, which is why he wants her dead. Spiderman is there to help her escape. Another FBI character is also involved, trying to protect her and get Homelander off her trail. At one point, Blue Cat is in New York when Homelander—wearing a cloak of invisibility—nearly beheads her. The FBI releases classified documents to get Homelander to go see his own mother. He sobs uncontrollably, revealing his location, and Blue Cat escapes.
They decide the only way to stop Homelander is to convince the world she’s dead. They leak to the press that she crashed into a wall and lost her powers, and is now disguised as a normal citizen. The press runs the story but adds:
“This story, which feels like it was made up by three children and a guy in a trenchcoat, was told at the local Walmart by three children and a man in a trenchcoat.”
The dream ends with the dreamer walking around a Walmart, talking with Blue Cat about what state to take her to for witness protection.
