My family and I were road tripping across America when we had stopped at a fancy restaurant for dinner. An old friend from school was eating there too and we would begin chatting. I remember an old bag which they had left at my place many years ago and return it to them. Inside the bag, it is revealed, there is incredibly important research equipment which they had been searching for all these years, requiring it to finish their experiments.
As a gift the friend gives me the deed to one of their many properties which are scattered across the continental United States. I arrive to the property and find it’s a castle, built on the edge of a beach and neighboring another nearby castle. Behind the two castles resides a large open field, full of frolicking horses, a single picket fence dividing the two properties.
We settle into our new home and come to realize that the neighbors are quite loud and disruptive, and so we formulate a plan to teach them a lesson: one night we will sneak out into the fields and murder one of their horses. A servant happened to overhear our conversation, confronting me about it the next day, threatening to use the information as black mail. The family and I decide to take care of the servant, digging open a fresh grave for him on the beach.
